Extreme Element are one of the leading extreme sports agencies in the UK. We offer over 400 extreme sports courses & experiences in the UK & Spain. Ex Element is an ‘Extreme’ branded company and part of the Extreme Group (founders of the Extreme Sports Channel on Sky). Based in Hove we are predominantly an Internet based company and operate a network of websites, the main UK site being www.exelement.co.uk. Our current & continuing success is in part due to our focus and grasp of new media marketing channels, cutting edge e-commerce site and excellent web presence.
Job Description:
We are seeking a budding enthusiastic individual looking to expand his or her SEO skills and career by joining our website development team. The chosen candidate will have an excellent attitude, be a quick learner, a good writer, and have a good all-round knowledge of how websites work. Experience freelance or otherwise is of course preferable but not essential.
Working in our web development and internet marketing department they will be in charge of our sites’ in-house SEO campaigns, contributing to internal and external link building as well as on site changes, constant research, and active participation in social media to promote the company.
While this is not a paid position. the experience which you will gain will be invaluable to pursuing a further career in internet marketing with a credible and successful company to your name. The internship also has the possibility of leading to a full time position with us at a later date.
Skills Range:
Essential Skills
- Absolute complete competence using a computer!
- Basic knowledge of html
- Basic knowledge of SEO
- Confidence in compiling and analyzing statistics
Non-requisite Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of Web Standards and Usability
- Experience building websites
Tasks:
- Running the in-house SEO of our websites
- Internal/External link building
- On-site changes
- Producing monthly SEO reports
- Regular research into new SEO techniques
- Actively participating in social media
